I am confused. I thought that apps compiled with Xcode 27 (and with a 26 target) for iPhone only would show black bars on eithr side on iPhone Duo. Am I mistaken. See this video for more context.

Did you know that you can add scope Guides to your code in Xcode 26.4? I didn’t know that until today. #Xcode #Swift

Completely rewrote my Wine Cellar app from UIKit and Realm to use SwiftUI and SQLiteData from Point-Free. Syncs perfectly with iCloud. Exported data as JSON and png and imported back. I have a new 10 part series on SQLiteData coming soon. Stay tuned.

I really miss Bakery by Jordi Bruin so I found a nice icon composer CLI package and two of my own and Vibe coded (3 hrs) a much simpler version to create placeholder icons for my app that can be edited later in icon composer. If there is interest I will open source. #SwiftUI

I built a free Mac app to download individual folders from GitHub repos. No more downloading entire repositories just to access one project. Supports private repos & branch selection. Get it here:

These kind of things drive me crazy. Look at menus in iOS 26, particularly with submenus. The preview and simulator fail, but installed on real iPhone all with beta4 no problem. Is it worth submitting a Feedback on this?

I have come across something with the Observation framework that is confusing me so if there are any #SwiftUI Observation framework experts out there that can explain this to me, I would be forever grateful. Why I don’t have to define the object as a State object?
