I told you, Castlevania LOVES fighting games ๐ฅ And the tradition of calling back to them continues with Belmont's Curse! So I made a lil edit showcasing how the Demo's secret weapon, Cestus, homages idle poses for many of it's iconic characters. MUCH more coming stay tuned ๐

Castlevania Loves Fighting Games More Than You Think! The series has had SO MANY influences thatโs shaped it, but there is one particularly special one that I wanted to highlight more than ever before ๐คโค๏ธ Hope you all enjoy, link to full video below๐

Not many know this, but Richter in Castlevania Portrait of Ruin has some AMAZING fighting game command inputs implemented into his playstyle that make him so much fun to control! Theyโre not explained ANYWHERE in game so I made a little video here to showcase them for you all๐ต

I seriously believe Dark Emperor Zangetsu from Bloodstained Curse of the Moon is one of the greatest, most hype Classicvania boss fights ever created. It has everything. The entire party, stakes, mechanics, MUSIC. Not to mention a little bad ending tease if you lose. Pure aura๐ฅ

Itโs also tragic how Zangetsuโs mode in Ritual of the Night acts as a complete inverse of this, now having try and free Miriam who has succumb to similar darkness he did in Curse of the Moon ๐ This is also a fantastic boss. Wish there were more unique ones for his playthrough!

Rolled credits on the new Castlevania 1 mobile port! Wow! It sucks LMAO, so many issues ๐ญ It needs controller support, screen options, color correction, even tuned audio just for starters. BUT. Itโs free, & ultimately a nice gesture from Konami showing appreciation to fans ๐คโค๏ธ

In just two trailers, Bloodstained Scarlet Engagement has already obliterated Belmontโs Curse music wise. Itโs not even close dawg. LISTEN TO THIS HEATTTT ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ I love Ritual of the Night but not gonna lie, this is looking like such a step up!! So excited we are eating GOOD

Seeing Castlevania & Kid Icarus both having their 40th anniversaryโs this year reminds me how Pit recognizes Simon in Smash Ultimate because their first games came out so close to each other in 1986 ๐ฅฒ It also tangentially makes this a Captain N reference lmfao

So yeah! Looks like Nocturne in the Moonlight will finally be broadcast worldwide, with official English subtitles for the first time ๐ฆ This tells us a couple things but mostly, how successful it was in Japan. Theyโve seen the interest from overseas fans (ME) & are acting on it

At last, all of Maria Renard's secret fighting game inputs throughout the Castlevania series๐๏ธ From Rondo of Blood, Portrait of Ruin, Dracula X Chronicles, & even the Saturn version of SotN. Wanted to cover ALL of it and conclude this little edit trilogy! Much more coming ๐คโค๏ธ
