Kelvin Sampson on senior point guard Jamal Shead. This almost made me tear up. That’s a coach who loves his player 🥺. “I wouldn’t trade Jamal Shead for any point guard in America. He is what we stand for. He has a tremendous mother and father. He’s going to graduate with a 3.84 GPA. He’s one of those kids you just want your kid to grow up and be like. He’s a winner.”

Wow. I just saw an episode from The Journey featuring Steven Izzo from Michigan State and it was powerful. He is a 5th year walk on and son of coach Tom Izzo. In this clip, he scored his first official basket of his career. Tom had this to say: “He came over and gave me a hug and I told him I loved him. I looked around and I said my kid just made 15,000 people…happy. If I died that day, I’d been ok.”

Media asked Fletcher Loyer what it’s like for him, Smith, & TKR to play their whole career at Purdue. “It’s special…if I went to a different school out of HS, I would’ve been at 3 colleges by now. It’s awesome how Painter runs things. I’m happy to be apart of it” CULTURE 👏🏻
