Well, this is getting bad. At the 401 and Hwy 6 south of Guelph. The Weather Network #onstorm

Whoa! Rotation right over me! Near Fergus now. The Weather Network #onstorm

A very good thing! So much rain here in Thunder Bay. The Weather Network #onstorm

Heading up the 407 to the 401 and it’s as empty as I’ve ever seen it. The Weather Network #ONStorm

The tornado warned storm from above! The main area of rotation is well out over the lake at this point. I’ve never touched down on an airplane to a tornado warning! The Weather Network #onstorm

I’ve never seen the skies over Guelph this colour. Even in 2023 it wasn’t this bad and given that the upper level winds won’t be changing that much over the day, this is likely to get worse. #onsmoke The Weather Network

Here we go! Tornado warning near Stratford. The Weather Network #onstorm

One of the problems with road closures is that you get redirected onto side roads that are often worse than the main road. Heading back home and multiple sections of Hwy 86 north of Elmira are closed. The Weather Network #ONStorm

Landing in Thunder Bay and visibility is just … bad. The Weather Network #onsmoke

Listen to the crashes in the audio - Jason is braced against the door in his hotel to stay away from the windows. He and his family are still doing ok as #Melissa crosses over Jamaica. Other areas and families are facing catastrophic damage though.

You know it’s bad out when even the horses are getting stuck in the ditch. The Weather Network #ONStorm

Tornado south of Glencoe! The Weather Network #onstorm

Getting bad in the 407 and 401 area. The squalls are starting hit hard. The Weather Network #onstorm

Big chunk of the roof off of the Home Hardware north side of Ayr. Tornado damage. The Weather Network #onstorm

This is it. Eyewall now onshore in Jamaica and likely catastrophic damage occurring. Communications are starting to fail so we may not see a lot of images for a while. #Melissa

WB 401 between KW and Milton is basically a parking lot. Stay off if you can! The Weather Network #onstorm

Not sure if wall cloud or just a lowering on the SW side of the storm. Near Tilbury earlier The Weather Network #onstorm

Are you planning on travel late this week in Southern Ontario? The storm is likely to be high impact on Friday and Saturday so I’m trying to get a handle on how many people are changing plans or attempting the drive around the storm. #onstorm

Significant damage to the Home Hardware in Ayr. The Weather Network #ONStorm #tornado

Pretty rare to see the Gardiner down to two lanes … The Weather Network #ONStorm

Coming out of Toronto and just wow! The Weather Network #onstorm

I’m timed getting over a nasty flu just right. Southern Ontario is looking at the potential for a significant severe weather day on Wednesday. The Weather Network #onstorm

Cored! Getting hit near Stratford. The Weather Network #onstorm

There’s zero chance of anyone getting through if there isn’t a plow ahead of you on the QEW. The Weather Network #ONStorm

Jason, my wife’s cousin, and his family made it through #hurricaneMelissa. Damage at their resort in Montego Bay is surprisingly light, but elsewhere, things are catastrophic. Recovery now begins and Jamaica will need a LOT of help.

A very good thing! So much rain here in Thunder Bay. The Weather Network #onstorm

Yipe. Unplowed road in Guelph. #ONStorm

Whole roads are closed down as trees continue to come down in Barrie. The Weather Network #ONStorm

Experience this with me. This is what we call a whiteout… Near Crystal Beach now. The Weather Network #ONStorm

It’s not just driveways and sidewalks that need to be uncovered f you’re in Toronto. There’s a hidden danger underneath the snow. The Weather Network #onstorm

Here we go. Watching two areas, but especially the hatched bubble on the map. Looking at 3-4 pm for the storms to start up. The Weather Network #onstorm

I try not to overhype storms, but I want everyone to take this Christmas storm seriously. Panic is not what I’m after, just sensible caution. The Weather Network #ONStorm

Transformers exploding northeast of Guelph! The Weather Network #onstorm GTA! Heads up - this is coming your way!

Not good, really not good. At the Hwy 11 road closure at Washago. The Weather Network #ONStorm There’s no going north on Hwy 11 here.

Tornado! Near Drumbo now! The Weather Network #onstorm

Wow! Wowowowwow! Just south of Sarnia. The Weather Network #onstorm

Wow. I haven’t seen smoke kill off storms in this spectacular a way in a long time. The Weather Network #qcstorm

It’s bad. Really bad. So much smoke here in Thunder Bay. The Weather Network #onsmoke

One of the fires is south of my cottage and I’m getting just a bit concerned. Please take fire bans very seriously! The Weather Network #onfires
