A moment beyond words… Playing Garaj Garaj — the iconic composition from Bandish Bandits Season 2, created by my guru and mentor, the extraordinary Shankar Mahadevan ji — and sharing the stage with him as he performs it live with me… is something I will treasure forever. What makes this even more special is the lineage of this masterpiece — in Season 1, it was sung by my other guru, the legendary Pandit Ajay Chakraborty ji. To be part of this incredible musical journey, carrying forward a piece touched by both my gurus, is an honor I hold deeply in my heart. When Shankar ji sang Kal Ho Na Ho and I got a chance to play a small ad-lib interlude - our hearts and souls wept internally for our dear Zakir bhai who’s no more with us.
