Soooooooo I’ve received two different HS coaching job offers within the last 72 hours and I guess I’m weighing my options here … I don’t know if I want to be a HC (even I’m socially aware enough to know my approach will piss off a lot of parents, which I don’t care about) or I can be a DB coach somewhere established and have 100% confidence in getting these safeties right because we will know how to tackle and be cerebral pre snap! Damn I miss those throwback West Coast PAC-12 matchups !!! Although we missed out on a ton of money opportunities, we were the last generation of CFB purists… School pride was real, you were playing against guys you grew up with, and reppin your state & it’s homeschool meant something !!! I get being frustrated. I get missing the days where you could name your team’s starting roster in back to back years because it was the same roster. I get longing for the old school rivalries and matchups mattering because it is local kids on the team staying home playing against those rivals. I get it all. I feel you. I understand you wholeheartedly, but let’s not act like these kids are doing something wrong. We play the game because we love it but also because of the future and opportunities it brings financially and these kids aren’t doing anything but acting in a situation that is brand new ! Not just for them, but everybody involved!

Talking USC Football on Big Ten Network and as always, I’m calling a spade a spade! USC has had a rough go after year 1 of Lincoln’s tenure and it’s up to Coach Riley to turn the ship around! This offseason, he’s doing just that. Recruiting & locking down CA ✅ , Transfer Portal ✅ , new coaching staff & front office ✅. In my opinion, The Trojans are setup nicely for a 10 win season and a potential NY6/Playoff bid if they can execute! #FightOn

I get it … “THESE KIDS ARE NO LONGER KIDS ONCE THEY ACCEPT THESE 6-7 FIGURE DEALS”, but let’s relax a little bit. If you were a former D1 athlete, you know how much of a grind college was and how much better the experience would’ve been with some extra bread in your pocket! So I have no issue with these kids getting paid, but I do think there needs to be some type of regulation to stop teams from poaching & to stop kids from jumping ship while pocketing money on a deal they didn’t follow through with. Here’s a quick little story on how my era and the athletes before me walked so the athletes today can SPEND, I mean run ! 😂✌🏽 #NIL #BrokeAF #BornAtTheWrongTime
