It’s snowing almost every day at High Passes in Ladakh. This is Wari La at 17400 ft. Khardung La, where the race will go is more challenging than this. I will be running the Silk Route Ultra Challenge (122 km) on the night of the 11th of September. Some bone-chilling miles are there to run this weekend. #LadakhUltraMarathon

Today, while running towards the Atal Tunnel via Solang Valley, my heart felt heavy after seeing this. In a place so beautiful, how can you do these ugly acts? As runners, as travellers and especially as locals (it seems to be done by some local shopkeepers) this is our responsibility. Please don't do this to the mountains 🙏 Request to the local administration to keep watch on such acts and fine the culprits. Putting signboards alone won't help. 📍Solang Valley, Manali.

Some people adjust their dreams to fit their comfort. She cut off her comfort to protect her dream. Mid run she stopped and asked for a scissor, Watching her cut the hair mid-run just because it was slowing her down… made me realize — this journey is bigger than a world record. Anything that comes between her and the dream… goes. That level of focus is rare. Hair is something people attach beauty to. Confidence to. Identity to. Most people would think ten times before cutting it. But looking at Sufiya in that moment made me realize that her focus is somewhere far beyond appearance #running #mindset #runfordreams #lifestyle #collegementor

But the goal is clear, “make it all the way to the Karakoram, come what may.” This is what I have come for.
