it’s f*cking insane the scariest thing i found with claude in 2026 was inside my AirPods Max i bought them second-hand. looked perfect. sounded perfect. connected to my laptop like any other pair after writing my article about bugs and hidden cameras, i asked Claude to check every Bluetooth device on my laptop too 6 devices. 5 clean. and then this ↓ "AirPods Max": → firmware version that doesn't exist in Apple's release list → secretly registered as a KEYBOARD too, hidden from the menu → microphone open 14 hours a day. no call. no app using it and 2 days after i first paired them, an app called "BTAudioSync" appeared on my laptop. i never installed it it recorded everything through the headphone mic and uploaded it every night at 3am 5 weeks of my life: → 1,284 audio clips → 63 hours of audio → 41 uploads to a server i'd never heard of meetings. calls. me alone in my room to be clear: this isn't Apple spying on anyone. this pair was tampered with before it ever reached me. a second-hand device can be anything inside what Claude helped me do in one evening: → disconnected and forgot the headphones → removed the app and everything that launched it → blocked the upload server and deleted the clips → set mic access to apps i approve only → reset Bluetooth and re-paired only devices i trust → saved everything as evidence if you bought headphones, a keyboard or a mouse second-hand, check what it really is before you trust it the full step-by-step check is in the article below ↓

it's f*cking insane there was a bug living inside my Starlink router not on my laptop. not on my phone. in the box that every device in my house connects to after writing the article about hidden cameras, i decided to check one more thing: the router itself here's what Claude found ↓ → a module called "netcache" that is NOT part of the official firmware → it started at every boot and was hidden from the admin panel → every night between 2 and 4am it sent ~3.4 GB to an unknown server → it was copying traffic from 6 of the 8 devices in my home and then it showed me what it had collected: 2,316 photos 412 documents 18,903 browsing records from my iPhone. my MacBook. my iPad. my work laptop the router is the perfect hiding spot: → no antivirus ever scans it → it's on 24/7 → everything you do passes through it → nobody updates it after day one to be clear: this isn't Starlink spying on me. someone got into MY router. it could be any brand what i did: → blocked the unknown server → stopped the module and isolated the router → saved everything as evidence → factory reset + firmware update + new Wi-Fi password → changed every password from a clean device if you checked your room for hidden cameras after my last article, check your router too. it sees more than any camera how to do the whole check is in the article below ↓

it's f*cking insane i built my own antivirus with Claude in one evening. then i ran it on my own laptop i thought it would find nothing. i was wrong 8 security issues 2 viruses quietly collecting my data 1 virus that turned my camera ON and kept the light OFF 1,247 photos taken by my laptop camera. not by me let that sink in the camera light is the one thing everyone trusts. "if the light is off, nobody's watching". one piece of malware killed that trust in a second here's what it found ↓ 8 ISSUES → firewall was off → security updates paused for 94 days → an unsigned app launching at every startup → a browser extension that could read every site i open → passwords saved in a plain text file → screen not locking after sleep → remote login on, never used → an old admin account nobody remembered 2 DATA STEALERS → one was sending my browser data to an unknown server → one was uploading my documents and screenshots 1 CAMERA SPY → recorded through the webcam with the indicator light off → saved everything in a hidden cache folder → 1,247 photos. mostly at night. me, my room, my desk, people who came over no popups. no slowdowns. no warnings. the laptop worked perfectly the whole time that's the scary part. you don't feel it. you just think everything is fine what i did: → quarantined all 3 threats → fixed all 8 issues → revoked camera access for every app i didn't recognize → changed every password from a different device → put a cover on the camera. forever you don't need to pay for this. it took one evening, free open-source tools and Claude the full step-by-step guide is in the article below. run it tonight, before you find your own folder of photos ↓

it’s f*cking insane the guy who installed my wifi left something on my router. and for 23 days every website i opened went through someone else's server first the wifi was installed. he spent 40 minutes "setting it up". said it's for faster support. i said thanks and never thought about it again then i read my own article about hidden cameras on wifi and decided to check my own router with claude i exported the router config and an hour of traffic, gave both to claude in read-only mode and asked one question: what on this router is not mine? the first answer made me close the laptop for a minute → remote admin was open to the whole internet on port 8443 → admin password was still the default one printed on the box → a "remote support" app i never installed, checking in to an unknown server every 5 minutes → my DNS was switched to their servers. every site i opened was looked up through them first → a port forward straight to my home storage with all my photos 23 days. 6,624 check-ins. 41,280 DNS lookups logged on a server i don't control i don't know if anyone actually looked. but they could. my bank, my emails, what i search at 2am. all of it went through a box someone else had the keys to what i did that night: > factory reset the router > updated the firmware from the manufacturer's site, not from the "support" link > new admin password, remote admin OFF, WPS OFF, UPnP OFF > DNS back to one i chose myself > deleted the port forward > new wifi password and checked every connected device > called the provider and asked what exactly their guy installed. they're "checking" check yours tonight. log into your router, look at remote management, DNS and port forwarding. if there's anything you didn't set, it's not yours the full router check with claude is in the article below. takes 15 minutes
