The king cobra can literally "stand up" and look at a full-grown person in the eye. When confronted, they can lift up to a third of its body off the ground.

A herd of gentle giants observing a car in the most delicate way possible at Utrakhand today… In the elephant kingdom, whenever confronted with such an eventuality, keep the headlights on & don’t switch off the engine. Stay calm. It always helped in my long career as a Forester.
