This is how every woman who chooses to be a housewife should be treated. A man may be the one earning the money, but his wife should still have authority and an equal say in major financial and household decisions. A housewife also deserves to feel financially independent, and it should be the husband's responsibility to make her feel that way. She should never feel like her role is limited to the kitchen and household chores. Instead, she should feel that she has real authority and that she is an important pillar of the family. This should be basic decency. You don't need to learn about feminism or patriarchy to understand something this simple.
