These students from Pune’s Mahatma Gandhi School attended ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ in the city on August 22. All the students seen in this video are orphans. The school provides free English-medium education to children of daily-wage workers, sex workers, single mothers, and domestic workers. They came to the event hoping to meet Mr. Gandhi and seek his intervention in the ongoing land dispute and the cancellation of their school’s UDISE code. Unfortunately, they couldn’t meet him.
