During the Baeksang Awards, they showed an appreciation video for the behind the scenes staff—the ones we often overlook. Most of the celebs burst into tears bc they truly understand the sacrifices these people make. im crying watching this :’( During the airing of QOT, an ex gf stirred up dating rumors by posting an old photo without any context. isnt that insane? Haters claim that soohyun denied his past relationship from 4 years ago just to protect HIS OWN career. But do you ever stop to think what wouldve happened back then if he hadnt denied it? It wouldve affected the entire team. And who caused the issue? Not him. He chose to deny it as Star Soohyun but he sacrificed his own peace & faced anxiety everyday as Human Soohyun. Bc he knew there could be consequences, but still, he chose to protect the QOT team. He took responsibility as the lead actor under intense spotlight. And yet, look at what her family cont to do to him. They wont stop disturbing his peace even though he was just a one-year bf—based on all available evidence. Have you ever seen soohyun speak badly about her? Even at his most recent presscon, he said nothing. He owes nothing to her or her family. im sorry everyone. ive kept these thoughts in for a long time. im writing this thru tears. This is so unfair to soohyun. i just pray that God has sth far better in store for those who speak the truth & remain kind. Cc: owner video

When i was watching on screen earlier, i was so shocked that as soon as i met our company ppl, i asked, ‘Why does joongki sunbaenim look so pretty today?’ i think he might be cool toned. Right sunbaenim, you seem like a cool tone, arent you? Joongki: Hearing that from the most beautiful person these days makes me feel so good. Hehe. im truly, truly happy to be able to greet you on the very first day of the new year like this. i wish you all a very Happy New Year & i hope your days are filled only with good things. This year, i’ll be greeting you thru a new drama. It’s SBS’s upcoming drama “Doctor X: The Era of the White Mafia.” Our drama is a medical noir that follows the story of Gye Soojung, a genius surgeon who stands up against immense medical power. The character Gye Soojung, whom i play, will deliver a sense of catharsis so i ask for your great interest & anticipation. As an actor, i believe that encountering a project is a tremendous stroke of luck in one’s life. Completing a story together, not alone but with fellow actors & with the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes makes it feel even more special. In that sense, the Directors’ Award that i’ll be presenting today is esp meaningful, as it is given to the best actor personally selected by the directors & production staff who created the work together.
