![[Jiwon at Joongki’s FM😍] Jiwon: No, but everyone, doesnt joongki sunbaenim’s face look so graceful today? When i was watching on screen earlier, i was so shocked that as soon as i met our company ppl, i asked, ‘Why does joongki sunbaenim look so pretty today?’ i think he might be cool toned. Right sunbaenim, you seem like a cool tone, arent you? Joongki: Hearing that from the most beautiful person these days makes me feel so good. Wow, im..im actually speechless right now, im so surprised. Hold on, i’ll just go get a glass of water. ![[Jiwon as presenter at SBS 2025 Drama Award] Kim Jiwon: Hello, everyone. im Kim Jiwon. The new year of 2026 has begun. Hehe. im truly, truly happy to be able to greet you on the very first day of the new year like this. i wish you all a very Happy New Year & i hope your days are filled only with good things. This year, i’ll be greeting you thru a new drama. It’s SBS’s upcoming drama “Doctor X: The Era of the White Mafia.” Our drama is a medical noir that follows the story of Gye Soojung, a genius surgeon who stands up against immense medical power. The character Gye Soojung, whom i play, will deliver a sense of catharsis so i ask for your great interest & anticipation. As an actor, i believe that encountering a project is a tremendous stroke of luck in one’s life. Completing a story together, not alone but with fellow actors & with the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes makes it feel even more special. In that sense, the Directors’ Award that i’ll be presenting today is esp meaningful, as it is given to the best actor personally selected by the directors & production staff who created the work together. It’s a great honor for me to present such a meaningful award. Now then, i’ll announce the winner. The recipient of the 2025 SBS Drama Awards – Directors’ Award is… Yoon Kyesang. Tbh this is my personal fav part of QOT commentary. It really shows how attentive & considerate jiwon is, if we look closely. “He prepared a lot for that scene. It was a very busy time in Sep 2024, not easy to maintain your body.” She didnt even focus on the “abs” like others did, she focused on his effort. And this explanation no one ask from jiwon, she genuinely gives it. And one simple yet deeply touching sentence from her that moved my heart: “He became fluffy & healthier. That’s a pretty moment.” She was affirming that even in his less “perfect” state, he was still beautiful to her. She sees both his effort & his humanness and loves both sides. And when soohyun more focus on technical prep like physical preparation or visual pressure of the scene, jiwon shift the focus: - From what the audience sees → to what the actor sacrifices. - From surface prep → to sustained effort over time. Psychologically, this is emotional validation. She’s showing the full context of his effort so others (and maybe he himself) will appreciate it more. i believe this is what soohyun meant during QOT presscon. As they grew closer, they could understand each other’s feelings without needing to ask. And this kind of emotional partnership isnt ath easy for us as humans, it cant be faked.
