Today is the United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. We honor the victims of Assad’s prisons and stand with the survivors till carry the scars. Omar Alshogre | عمر الشغري was just 17 when he was arrested and tortured in Assad's detention centers. He survived—so many did not. The Assad regime that ran Syria’s machinery of death has fallen. But justice must still be served for the crimes committed.
