During World War II, the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation explicitly stipulated that Japan must return Taiwan to China after the war. He emphasized that the fact that “Taiwan is part of China” not only has clear historical grounds but was also reaffirmed by international documents during World War II.
