The reason behind Turkiye's intense interest in Eurofighter aircraft during its transition period was again the deployment of Qatar's Eurofighters to Turkiye. They had previously demonstrated their capabilities together in Anadolu Kartalı exercises, but after the deployment agreement with Qatar, Turkish pilots spent more time with the Eurofighters, conducted numerous joint training sessions and flights, and organized joint exercises. The arrival of Qatar's Eurofighters in Turkiye coincided with a period of escalating tension with Greece, which operates Rafales. This process also gave Turkish experts the opportunity to directly compare the capabilities of Qatar's Rafale and Typoon along with Turkish F16s. During this process, Turkish officials must have been particularly impressed by the Eurofighter's capabilities, especially its air superiority roles. With the final signature between UK and Turkiye, the following points have been clarified. ➡️The Turkish Eurofighters will be Tranche 4+(5) models and will be delivered in the future with impressive capabilities such as the ECRS Mk2 radar and LTE ➡️Turkiye will handle the comprehensive maintenance of the Eurofighters and, as part of this, will gain full authority over maintenance and logistics, including part/component production. It will also train its own maintenance personnel in the near future. ➡️Turkiye will seamlessly integrate its own munitions into the Eurofighters in future and use them at full performance. All these factors will enhance the operational effectiveness of the Turkish Eurofighters while also increasing their combat readiness rates. In this context, Turkiye is acquiring ▪️24+12 second-hand Eurofighter T3+ ▪️20+20 Tranche 5 Eurofighters Given the significant maintenance, logistical ajd operational flexibility mentioned above, I believe the +20 option package will also be activated by 2028–2029, bringing Turkiye’s total to 76 Eurofighter Tranche 5 and Tranche 3+ aircraft. Of course, this situation could lead to the cancellation of negotiations for 40 F-16 Block 70s due to Lockheed Martin’s cost policy for Turkiye. We’ll have to wait and see.

An impressive visual simulating an operation in which KAAN, displayed with the Saudi Arabian flag, deployed 4 Anka-3s with the MUM-T concept was presented to the participants. The capabilities proposed by the West for 6th Generation aircraft in 2040's have already being developed for KAAN, and testing has begun. Approximately 2x as many Gokbeys will be ordered by SSB tomorrow. After 2027, we have a plan to produce 2 Gokbeys (later 3 Gökbry) per month and they will be delivered with domestic engines (TEI-TS1400)
