Man it sucks that Roblox doesn't have motion blur but the camera shake/UI shake could help a bit I guess? I gotta also pull the camera back further and add maybe a bit more FOV gain?

A better video of me driving around in rockport, now the collisions are better because of the dumper properly dumping the collision data and barriers! (Destructible objects are a bit weird still, and the giant floating buildings are normal, they are from a unfinished system)

I have been given the Rockport map to test it out, performance however isn't great (not the maps fault, rather my code) and the cars are a bit buggy here, but I drove around a bit :D The camera kept hitting some invisible stuff unfortunately so it might jitter quite a bit here.

Really gotta make use of dynamic lighting here better, there is a lot of light bleeding. But hey the garage, safehouse and car dealership now all have their textures properly added!

I implemented the tuning garage properly this time. There are a few bugs tho, Parts &amp; Visual is also not implemented *yet*. But will be soon ish. #RobloxDev #RobloxStudio #Roblox

More progress on the cops, their netcode and collisions have been reworked and several bugs related to them have been fixed, its still not perfect though. Network usage currently is through the roof and many cars can absolutely overwhelm the server, but optimization is coming.

I also implemented the car dealership, albeit its a bit weird still, switching between cars is really slow because I am not properly preloading all the cars right now.

The busted cutscenes kinda work now, its a bit buggy still though. Also I reworked the busted thing when you are returned to the garage and now it doesnt have these weird bugs anymore with the newer improved UI system.

Yes, this works with any avatar. But it doesnt look correct with most avatars. Especially very tall or short ones. Even my avatar has a lot of clipping issues 😭 But yeah!! im working on getting the busted cutscene system to work with any R15 avatar!

The server authority netcode has been largely reworked recently too, collisions are MUCH better now. Nearby vehicles get predicted so you dont have bad or delayed collisions. This cop car is serverside!

This took so long but it still isnt finished, the lighting and textures are really bad right now😭 But hey, it was good work for today, tomorrow I will maybe be able to show off the tuning for the cars!

I also just realized I never showed off the speedbreaker lol, yes that also works! It recharges just like in MW, either have your speed be high enough or do a drift (which charges it nearly instantly if you hold a drift for a few seconds)

Deleted the previous tweet sorry, the video had a few issues in it, here's a better video. Still a huge WIP, riddled with bugs because the FEng system isn't fully done yet and there's a lot of weird manual hacks I had to do. But its progress!

Still working on the cops, a lot of work is required for them to work properly x.x Currently the music and the chatter are complicated as hell, but performance is also a problem when there are a lot of cop cars, server authority is not cheap after all..

I managed to actually figure out how to reverse engineer Roblox's reflection cubemaps! I modified them to generate at a resolution of 2048x2048 instead of 128x128! Its such a massive difference in quality its unbelievable. #Roblox #RobloxStudio #RobloxDev
