It’s fine to prefer GMMTV’s approach to the industry, but claiming DMD “forces” artists into roles ignores what the artists themselves have said. DMD’s Friendship project let artists build connections and choose compatible partners. Many have described feeling accepted, supported, and more confident there. Femininity and fanservice aren’t inherently negative or inauthentic. "While many places might not be so open to this, in this world many places won't accept who we really are. Dmd isn't the best out there but one thing we know is that they truly let the artists be themselves.
