Squandering the Majority House Speaker Mike Weaselon just sent everyone home until November, effectively squandering what might be last of their majority and ability to actually get anything done. Golden Age! I'm old enough to remember a few days ago when Thomas Massie predicted this exactly and Mike Soggson called him stupid for it. So it goes, Massie took the podium today and clowned them all. There's too many great points he made in the hour long speech so I clipped a few of my favorites. He talks bringing our troops home, legislation he's pushed for years, importing mystery meat, paid social media slopsters, empty suits reading AI speeches and more.

Vanity Fair Article Wasn't Weird Yet another peculiar day in the TPUSA orbit. Definitely nothing weird about the pictures in this article. To acknowledge or talk about that would be evil, I presume? The explanation for the sparkly suit made perfect sense if you don't think about it. The reveal about the upcoming planned changes to their will would go in the Candace Owens was right jar, but I guess now that it's admitted we can just say it doesn't matter. A new statue is up at HQ even though its been more than two weeks without the "swift justice" they promised us, or as much as a photo, video or description of the perpetrators. No mention of the UVU report because why would anyone talk about that? But let's all say Candace likes girls or something because that's better than telling the truth about stuff that matters or acting normal. Just another day of things making perfect sense!

Erika Kirk is Not Above Scrutiny Almost nobody would make any comment about Erika Kirk if she wasn't the CEO of a major political organization. Especially if that organization was being transparent, normal and not caught in dozens of lies. Does everyone understand she didn't have to do a Vanity Fair photoshoot? Or a CBS primetime interview? Nobody is forcing any of this on her and you can't just act like she is above scrutiny if she's running a major political organization. We all feel empathy for her. Certainly some of the criticism is mean or unfair, but much of it is totally fair and reasonable. If you place yourself in the public eye and tell people how you think they should vote, you can't just avoid criticism. Nobody forced her kids to be in that photo shoot either. These are all choices. So miss us with the idea that this topic is beyond reproach.

How to Win in November The messaging is slop for November so let me put you on some free game. The "I dislike high gas prices too, but..." messaging is not slapping. It's uninspiring slop and nobody cares. Until the right understands that a real road map and plot points for measured success are laid out, there is no chance, in my opinion. Of all the things to criticize, this might be one of the weakest I've seen.
