My passion project got upgraded. We’ve been making a lot of progress on FPGBA SP. Yes, it plays real cartridges, and yes, I am considering a regular FPGBA version. I’m still trying to make this work for around $100.

1080p HDMI output on a stock Switch Lite with SUPER5 HDMI. It really did boil down to just connecting an HDMI cable.

It’s now possible to link two SuperStations together via the SuperDock extension port to play link cable PS1 games. A custom $3 cable will be added to the store tomorrow. You can also DIY a cable to connect an SS1 to MiSTER Pi, or connect two MiSTER Pi units together.

The logo needs to be fixed, but I’m happy to finally have a good version of SuperStation.

4:3 screen and ~6ms of display lag. Not bad.

N64 on SuperStation with native controller support.

The SS1 mold factory is a ride or die.

Added preliminary support for loading PC Engine CD games from disk without dumping on SuperStation. This system is fast, but it needs more work. I’ll circle back after PSX is perfected.

It took almost 3 months and 11 revisions to get a fully working custom glass touch panel for the SUPER5 OLED upgrade. The knowledge gained from this can be carried over to the DS and 3DS SUPER series products. If you fail at something, find out why, and don't give up.

18 months of R&amp;D, just as many failed revisions, and more than $200K in costs. SUPER5 OLED HDMI is finally done. This is the first fully assembled device in the world. You can't imagine how relieved I am that it works. This was the most difficult project I've ever worked on.

Is it just me, or is the Switch 2 incredibly buggy? I'm on my 7th hard crash/system freeze in 10 hours. I just had the entire system stall out while idling in SMRPG. I started recording as the audio cut out. I'm used to jank on a product launch, but this is getting annoying.

An OLED screen makes such a big difference, especially when it replaces a subpar TFT display. Here's a short clip of the SUPER5 OLED mod for the Switch Lite.
