This little girl, barely out of childhood, left her soaked tent under freezing rain and biting cold, carrying a water gallon heavier than her fragile body, just to keep her family alive. This is a painful side of Gaza that many don’t see... Streets overflowing with garbage—heaps growing daily due to the lack of equipment and resources to remove them. The smell is unbearable, the scene suffocating, as if the city is silently choking on its own pain. But what’s more terrifying than the filth is that among the trash are remnants of missiles and shells… leftovers from a war that hasn’t ended, still threatening the lives of passersby, especially children. Gaza is drowning not only in destruction, but in neglect, oppression, and a reality too heavy to bear.

This little girl couldn’t hold herself together and broke down in tears, her voice trembling as she spoke about the hand she lost. This video will shock the world. Large numbers of rats are spreading right next to our tents, clearly showing the reality I am describing. I filmed this a short while ago near my home, in a state of fear and terror. Dozens of children are living in these tents in unimaginable conditions. I saw a large rat enter a family’s tent while they were sleeping with no protection and no way to stop it. I still can’t believe what I’ve seen. Please share this video very widely so the world can see what is happening here.

This was my walk today in the rain through the destroyed neighborhoods where people still live despite everything. The scene was unbearably painful… water flooded what’s left of the houses, and there was no dry place left for anyone to sleep. I saw families standing all night because their mattresses were soaked, and the ground was completely covered in mud and rain. Children were shivering from the cold, and the adults were desperately trying to protect what little belongings they had left.

You won’t believe what I saw today in Gaza… A man injured in his foot, and because medical equipment and wheelchairs are blocked, he cannot walk on his own, and his 13 year old son, Muhammad, is forced to support and carry him step by step despite the intense pain of this burden. He was supposed to carry his school notebooks, but today he carries his father instead.

I welcomed #2026 while cooking for my family over a simple fire no electricity, no warmth, nothing that feels like the start of a new year. Don’t believe the rosy pictures being shared about “Gaza’s recovery.” The truth is far from that. Life here is still harsh people without homes, without enough food, the cold biting through our bodies. Anyone saying Gaza is fine either doesn’t see the reality or chooses to ignore it. The media only shows a distorted fragment… but the truth we are the ones living it.

I tried to hold back my tears as I filmed this scene... My city, once full of life, has become abandoned and broken. The streets that used to be filled with hope are now covered in rubble. People are lost, wandering with no direction, and children stand in long lines for food and water - as if they were forced to grow up too soon. Faces are silent, exhausted, and everything here screams with pain. I never imagined my city would come to this… I never thought that simply surviving would become our daily battle.
