"Hey Tanner, Jose just allowed me to buy his teeth that he had pulled. What do you think about making some cards with them?" First, this is NOT an April Fool's joke. A few months ago, my buddy Edward Jones went viral after posting that he purchased Jose Canseco's actual teeth. The responses were ... well, let's just say Edward single handedly triggered the entire internet. Thousands of people chimed in - from fascination to disgust to tagging the FBI. He commissioned me to make a tooth card for him and our buddy Mark. My payment? A tooth to create a card for myself. No doubt, this puts me on some sort of government watchlist. I’ll be honest, this was one of the most fascinating projects I’ve ever worked on. We’re used to bats/jerseys/autos - but this is something else entirely. This is quite literally a piece of the player. In fact, the back of the card says "embedded in this card is a piece of Jose Canseco" along with a cloning warning, citing actual cloning laws that are on the books. :D It’s weird. It’s incredible. It’s probably the most unique card I will ever make and own. Huge thank you to my friend Kevin Nail for examining and x-raying them at his practice! If a card of your favorite player surfaced that contained their actual tooth...would you want it?

In 1986, a starstruck boy was able to meet Rickey Henderson, and get his baseball signed. Fast forward to nearly 40 years later he finds someone (me) who takes relics like this and turns them into custom cards. Here's what I created! Here is an 8 panel booklet I designed and created of Jose Canseco. It features 7 letters spelling out his name - one from each team he played on! I was sent a book signed by Bob Ross to design and create a custom jumbo card with. Here it is! The front was done on canvas (how could I not?!) and gold foil. Instead of saying "Cut Signature" , I put "Happy Little Cut Signature".
