This is very dark humor — and very funny. I found this video on TikTok, and I need to give a little context. Ukrainians are known for their unique sense of humor, sometimes quite ambiguous. The idea of the video is that a person tried to end their life but forgot to check the blackout schedule. And then comes the line: “DTEK — we care about you.” DTEK is our energy company.

My Odesa …We are all like this building now — at first glance, it may seem like there’s no war, but look a little closer and the whole picture changes. There’s a hole in every heart — and those are the lucky ones, because at least the remnants of their hearts are still beating. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped and continues to help us move forward despite everything — those who support us in difficult times and make it possible for us to help those who, quite literally, make our lives possible. Some things must never be silenced. A Ukrainian volunteer spoke about a 4-year-old girl from de-occupied territories who was raped by ruzzian soldiers. The child couldn’t understand why this was happening to her. Such videos should be shown before every UN and Security Council meeting. Perhaps then, fear for one’s own children will outweigh any other fears. No resources are worth dealing with maniacs.
