💔 AFTER 12 YEARS OF SUFFERING, IT WOULD BE UNFAIR TO LET HER STORY GO UNSEEN. Please SHARE her story so the world can see what a working donkey can silently endure. And if someone would like to SPONSOR her diagnostic tests and prolonged treatment, please come forward. 🙏🫏 Until today, she was still being made to work—almost blind, dehydrated, walking painfully on overgrown and cracked hooves, with a partially luxated shoulder. We may never know everything she endured, but her body carries the evidence of years of hard labour. Our vets and equine specialists are concerned that prolonged pressure from heavy loads and poorly fitted harnessing may have caused chronic damage around her neck and shoulders—not only to the skin, but potentially to deeper soft tissues and structures beneath. Her owner also told us that her front legs became trapped in deep mud while carrying a load, which may have caused further trauma. Today we started treatment, gave her IV fluids and encouraged her to drink. ❤️ Tomorrow, further examinations and diagnostics will begin to understand the full extent of the damage to her shoulder, limbs and eyes. She has suffered unseen for long enough. Please don’t let her story remain unseen too. 💔 And she arrived without a name. ❤️ What should we call this beautiful girl? ❤️ RESCUE UPDATE ❤️ Since yesterday, he had been lying beside the road in unbearable pain. He desperately tried to lower his head, just to find a moment of comfort, but he couldn't. Watching him struggle for something so simple broke my heart. Today, because of your kindness, he is finally on his way to TAWF. Our wonderful volunteers and the truck driver made sure he was lying comfortably on a bed of hay for the long journey. They covered the truck to protect him from the monsoon rain while leaving the sides open so fresh air could reach him throughout the journey. Before setting off, the driver promised us he would stop to buy fresh green fodder for him... and he did. He also made sure he was offered water, and our volunteers arranged first aid and pain relief to make this long journey a little more comfortable. He is expected to arrive at TAWF at around **3–4 a.m. tomorrow morning.** From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has already helped make this rescue possible. ❤️ We still need your help. The transport cost must be paid when the truck arrives, and his emergency treatment will begin immediately. 💔 PLEASE DON’T JUST FEEL SORRY FOR HER. SHARE HER. Let her story travel beyond the people who already know us—because that is how we find the helping hands that allow us to save the next life. Let’s call her Grace. Our vet believes she is over 25. Years without proper hoof care have left her feet and limbs permanently deformed. The damage is irreversible, and even pain relief may not be enough to give her the comfort she deserves. And Grace is not an exception. Two desperate donkeys arrived just this afternoon. The second is in an even worse condition. This is what I am trying to tell you: I cannot keep saying YES to them alone. We offer working donkeys FREE hoof trimming, FREE veterinary treatment and early care so they can be reached before neglect becomes irreversible. But to keep doing that, we need helping hands—and helping hands cannot find us if these stories never leave our own little circle. Stories like Grace’s may receive a few hundred likes if they are lucky. But a LIKE keeps the pain here. A SHARE can carry it somewhere new. Your SHARE costs nothing. Pearl arrived unable to stand completely drained of strength. When I offered her an apple, she didn’t even recognise it. She spat it out again and again, until she finally tasted it. Something she may never have experienced before. Suddenly, she sat up. She started eating fast, searching for more. Hunger had taken everything from her — but kindness brought her back. We immediately arranged fruits and vegetables for her. Pearl is safe now. She is eating. She is no longer alone. This is why rescue matters. This is why we never give up.

She walked comfortably for the first time in her life... When Tippy arrived, everyone noticed her painfully overgrown "slipper" hooves. But they were only a small part of her suffering. Beneath her matted coat we found severe skin disease, mites, fleas, little more than skin and bones, and blood tests that revealed something even more heartbreaking. She is severely anaemic, battling two blood parasite infections, and her liver and kidneys have already been damaged by long-term neglect. Today, Tippy has tiny little hooves, fresh green grass beneath her feet, a special diet, intensive treatment, and people who refuse to give up on her. Meet Ranger. 💔🫏 Used. Abused. And when his broken body could no longer serve humans, he was thrown away. One of our team members found him sitting helplessly on the roadside. A terrible accident had shattered his front leg. The swelling is severe, and the injury appears devastating. He could barely move. I'm,Because the injury is to his front leg, even the simple ing for food or water had become almost impossible. So he sat there... Waiting. In pain. Alone. His body tells the story of a lifetime of suffering. Every scar, every wound, every sign of neglect speaks of years spent serving humans without kindness in return. He is now safe at TAWF's Second Chance Hospital & Sanctuary, where our veterinary team has started treatment. We will also seek expert advice to determine what options remain for him. Right now, we simply do not know what the future holds. But we do know that he deserves a chance. A chance to be cared for. A chance to be loved. They said he is dangerous. They said he bites… that he attacked people and animals. But what we saw was something else. A young donkey… sitting, unable to stand. When someone approached, he panicked. He struggled to get up on a broken, exhausted body… and ran straight to a corner to hide. Not to attack… just to escape. This is not aggression. This is fear. He is only 3 years old… his back already damaged, his hind legs bent from carrying weight far too young. On his back is a badly infected wound—inflicted by an axe. We thought we might lose them both. Today, we can finally say… they’re coming back to life. ❤️🩹 Toby and Dobby arrived as tiny orphans. Weak. Vulnerable. Without their mother’s protection. We tested them and vaccinated them as soon as it was safe. Six days later, our worst fear came true. Parvo. 💔 Their little bodies had so little strength left. But they fought. And so did we. Drips. Medicines. Feeding. Warmth. Round-the-clock care. And now… look at them. ❤️ Eating. Playing. Growing stronger. Their skin is healing. New fur is growing. Two little boys we feared losing are becoming puppies again. 🐾❤️ Their vaccination course will continue when medically appropriate. This is why we never give up. Millie gave birth while burning with fever. She was so sick, and within 24 hours all four of her babies were gone. We don’t know what horrors her pregnancy held before she reached us. Millie cried for her kittens. Then another tragedy arrived. Tiny kittens found crying on a garbage heap, torn away from their mother and thrown away like rubbish. This is heartbreakingly common. When a pet cat gives birth, many people simply take the babies and dump them in bags, on garbage piles, or empty plots. But when these kittens were placed beside Millie… something beautiful happened. Millie stopped crying. She pulled them close and began caring for them as if they were always hers. Two broken stories met — and somehow created a little miracle. This is why sterilisation matters. Today we rescued this beautiful mama donkey from heavy traffic. She's heavily pregnant, and her baby could arrive any day now. Just imagine if she had gone into labour in the middle of that busy road. Instead, she'll now welcome her baby in safety, surrounded by love, care and peace. Update on Serena 💔 Serena’s body carries years of cruelty — forced to work on broken legs, pushed with painkillers until her kidneys and liver were damaged, collapsing from exhaustion. An infected back hoof added to her agony. This kind of pain is built over years… not days. She is safe now. Her hoof has been supported with extension plates, and she’s receiving constant care. Some days are brighter, some are very hard — and since yesterday she’s been down again. But Serena is brave. And we are fighting with her, every step. Her care is intensive and costly, and many others like her arrive every day. Meet Serena — a stunning black mare whose strength has been pushed far past breaking point. 💔 A kind-hearted lady spotted her late in the evening, dragging an impossibly heavy load while trembling in agony. When we reached her, she kept shifting from one leg to another, unable to bear the pain, and most of the time she simply collapsed to the ground from exhaustion. Her condition tells the story of months of suffering — severe pain in both left legs from overloading, untreated injuries, soft-tissue damage, and now a deep, infected back hoof confirmed by our farrier. Her blood tests are already sent, and we’re waiting for results to understand how much internal damage she carries. I am already drowning in bills, struggling to feed so many, and fighting every day to treat the countless animals under our care. I truly cannot do this without amazing supporters like you.
