It’s just tough because they have 5 other MLB caliber OFs who deserve a spot on the team. Vilade and DeLuca obviously aren’t going anywhere as they are the only 2 RHH OFs, Simpson isn’t either. That leaves Mesa Jr. and Mullins, who have both shown their value. Getting rid of Mullins means a trade or DFA, which really impacts the OF depth. Given the fact that some of the OFs on the team have had extensive injury concerns in the past, that would be tough to do. Mesa Jr. seems the likeliest option to go, but he’s been really impressive since coming up. Overall this is a good problem to have, but it’s a difficult spot to be in.
