I’ve just seen the coolest noise-o-meter on tik tok. I can’t wait to try it tomorrow. It’s a free website called &amp; you can change the sensitivity, item, amount &amp; the microphone detects the background noise. When too loud the balls bounce.

I lived in Doc martens from 12-17. Haven’t had a pair for 20 years and just decided to get some again and live a badass life for 2025. The shop gut tried to sell me products to help me break them in and I said ‘‘this isn’t my first rodeo.’

I felt like a Princess all day and was so honoured to wear a parent’s sari. The children who are currently celebrating #Diwali2023 looked so happy to see me dressed up. They raced across the playground at break duty to talk to me and share what they have been doing so far.

I don’t want to show off but… I HAVE MY PAID AFTERNOON OFF TOMORROW!!!!!!!

I will upload my 3 day mini project planing to my TES tomorrow as a few have asked. Been a purposeful way to end the year rather than generic year group booklets. X

Back to school nails to greet my new EYFS class xxx

My son and his girlfriend move into their first house on Wednesday. This is going to be me as pay back.

We have gone from getting 4 little catterpillars in the post and then seeing them grow. Cocoon. And emerge as butterflies. That was where I thought it would end. But they mated. Had 150+ eggs and all hatched and now have a regular butterfly breeding unit. Utter joy.

30 little dragonflies made to give my lovely class tomorrow and the end of term. My first year back in EYFS in many years and I’ve loved every second. I’ve learned so much and really opened my eyes to how things have changed since my time there. I can’t wait to carry on in EYFS!

Happy December primary school teachers. I hope you feel seen.

Sharing an emotional journey. My middle dragon had undiagnosed neurological issues. Still on the waiting list after 4 years. We lose her daddy when she was 6 months old. Covid prevented proper transition. School refused for years. Sat EVERY GCSE. Whatever result she is INCREDIBLE

How goes the work? Incredible! EYFS summer one writing. From most not even able to write their name to this!! Super proud. Mix of abilities to show all accessed succeeded. ‘We went to the farm’ was a dictated sentence. The over sentences independent x #eyfsteacher #earlywriting

Why get children to just label a map when they can draw it and then deeply reflect and edit and improve their attempts. So much more powerful. #year4teacher #primarygeography #centralamerica #maps

When you are passionate about Art and teach it to the same level you would do a maths lesson, you get results. Examples of my current EYFS art and a past year 5 class. I love art. #artteacher

I defy anyone to tell me teaching Science isn’t the COOLEST thing ever!! I blooming LOVE science. We’ve had a day exploring changing states of matter and making butter is literally pure war and wonder which they NEVER forget. #whyiloveteaching

So pleased with this years Nutcracker crafting. We filled them with sweets so when the kids went to collect them to take home and they were so excited.

My last PHSE lesson in year 4. Architects, detectives, doctors, teachers, car engineers, pro climbers, authors, nurses, clothes designers… the privilege of being of being a teacher is letting your class dream big and believe in themselves and their dreams ❤️
