Here's a not-so-great Tesla Full Self-Driving moment from last evening. While taking an exit ramp, I think the AEB system activated and the car slowed to 13MPH. I’m not sure if it was reacting to the road, shadowed area, bridge, or lights above. I’m sure it was AEB because the accelerator pedal input was ignored even after FSD was disabled. Thankfully, there was no harm, no foul, as no one was behind us.

My wife surprised me yesterday by suggesting we go out for lunch and try an unsupervised Tesla Robotaxi ride. Opposites attract: I’m the huge tech guy, she’s always been the skeptic. I took a co-worker for his first-ever ride in a Tesla. Edited the 45-minute video down to just over 4 minutes. Highlights: 0:00 - Park is just a setting 0:22 - That’s 60? holy sh*t 0:40 - It’s a go-kart, man 1:12 - Even without self driving, this is excellent 1:33 - Self-driving and Mad Max 2:16 - It’s so fast! 2:30 - Self-driving impressions 3:03 - I want one so bad 3:16 - Cool and captivating 3:39 - Mom, I want one 3:45 - If it’s better, it’s better 4:04 - Butts in seats for sure Lots of questions and conversation across a range of topics. FSD has gotten pretty routine. I'm not sure it's even worth filming. Haters will say it's dangerous or that this is fake, but it's not. Just a Tesla driving itself to the gym and back. Nothing notable at all.
