Former MIT professor David Sabatini won a $6 million jury verdict in a defamation and tortious interference case against a fellow MIT scientist who accused him of sexual coercion. Sabatini’s lawsuit alleged Dr. Kristin Knouse orchestrated a deliberate campaign to have him removed from MIT and derail his career opportunities. Knouse denied the allegations and countersued, but the jury rejected her claims.
