We think the mystery of why Ling’s b+3 can’t be parried is solved. It’s not because it’s an ankle or heel attack, and it’s not directly because of a backturn animation. Some moves simply have a “can’t be parried” property. This property is not shown in practice mode; you have to use external tools that read the game’s code to see it. Below are some moves that can’t be parried and some that look similar but can be parried. Note that most running moves can’t be parried. Thanks to BanaNeko for this information.

Did you know that you can perform "quarter circle forward" and "quarter circle back" from crouch position in Tekken 8? This does not seem to work for characters who have "sway"/"crouch dash" motions. Thanks to Falcon Tetsu for mentioning this in his Lidia S2 guide.
