Early R&amp;D using our SP-6M dataset. Exploring image-to-3D reconstruction from single images, including heavily modified inputs (lighting, hair, etc). Still a work in progress.

It's taken a few weeks but our new HD MetaHuman Identities are available on the ScanStore now.

Testing out a ScanStore scan to Metahuman pipeline. Realistic textures and 1 to 1 normal maps correct to the face shape, make a big difference to the look of the character.

I spent all day learning Metahuman Animator and managed to create a digital version of myself. It's using one of our new Scan Store Metahuman identities and textures (my face), captured using an iPhone. Can't wait to finish these and get them out there.

I've just uploaded one of our new Metahuman Identity packs to the scan store for free! This one comes with 17 makeup / face paint textures and some lovely HD normal / albedo / cavity textures. I hope it's useful :) Happy Christmas, everyone.

3D artists, If you haven't lost your job to Turbosquid then I doubt you will lose your job to AI. Text to 3d already exists and has done for the past 20 years.

Testing out VirtuCamera for Blender 🔶 with one of our HD head scans. Super easy to use and gives you a really nice handheld camera feel. I did the camera work in Blender, then just exported the camera as an FBX to Marmoset and rendered it all in about an hour.

We're building a new scanner, and I thought I'd make some video blogs about the process. Here's Part 1 ;)
