SUDAN — #BREAKING 🚨 The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) reportedly shot down a hostile FH-95 drone today over Jabra Al-Sheikh in North Kordofan. The FH-95 is an advanced Chinese-made, multi-role UAV designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare missions, with the capability to conduct precision strikes. The RSF’s inventory of strategic drones mainly supplied by the #UAE appears to be rapidly depleting, with SAF forces increasingly shooting them down.

(UPDATE) - 🔥 Police in Dire Dawa stormed the home of a young Somali man after he dared to speak publicly in Amharic, rejecting the fabricated claim made by PM Abiy Ahmed. But the arrest didn’t go as planned. Within minutes, angry residents flooded the streets, standing shoulder to shoulder to protect him. What began as a quiet raid exploded into a charged standoff, with the community refusing to back down. #Ethiopia

ETHIOPIA — The Potemkin Party spent billions making Addis Ababa look pretty for the cameras, then forgot the small detail called drainage. The moment a few drops fall from the sky, the city turns into a water park.

Landlocked Ethiopia giving the Somali president a guard of honor in navy uniforms—you can't make this up. Mockery or ignorance? Either way, it's embarrassing.

YEMEN — 🔥 A viral video circulating on social media claims to expose a troubling development in #Yemen: groups of Ethiopian migrants seen organized into an armed militia. ETHIOPIA ― A regime that cannot make peace with its own people will never make peace with its neighbors. The "war-laurate" PM Abiy Ahmed has turned #Ethiopia into a workshop of war, inventing new conflicts before the old one burns out. His fate, however, is already written, and his defeat in the Amhara region at the hands of #Fano is all but guaranteed.

Eritreans are carrying their flag to places that symbolize strength and endurance, to reflect their deep sense of national pride. Naizghi Gebremedhin (92yo) reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, and lifted the Eritrean flag there. Now, Michael Wondu carried that spirit even farther, hoisting the 🇪🇷 flag on the frozen edge of Antarctic, showing how far Eritrean spirit can travel. 🫡

ETHIOPIA ― 🚨We are deeply alarmed by the brutal killing of three Eritrean asylum seekers by a prison guard in Addis Ababa’s Lafto district on January 22nd. This horrifying incident followed the federal government’s mass arrest of Eritrean asylum seekers in the capital. When 37 detainees allegedly attempted to escape, prison guards responded with deadly force, mercilessly gunning down Hanibal Solomon Gurja and Ataklti Isaias Habtesion on the spot. A third victim later succumbed to his injuries due to deliberate medical neglect. Even more disturbingly, eleven others suffered gunshot wounds and remain imprisoned without medical care, leaving them vulnerable to infections and life-threatening complications. The Abiy Ahmed administration’s refusal to reveal the identity of the third victim and its shocking decision to withhold the bodies of the deceased from their grieving families only deepen the injustice of this atrocity. This blatant disregard for human life and dignity demands urgent condemnation and accountability. ASSAB — Local fishermen are the primary suppliers of fish to both local markets and, to a lesser extent, for export. The Red Sea coastline, especially areas like Massawa and Assab, is rich in fish resources, and it's the small-scale, traditional fishermen who harvest a large portion of it. #Eritrea

ETHIOPIA ― If Abiy Ahmed is indeed the first Ethiopian leader of Oromo descent, and proudly claims in recent interviews that his government has answered the Oromo people’s long-standing questions about identity, land, economic participation, and even secured Oromo numerical dominance in the military, security services, and party's decision-making bodies, then there is one rather inconvenient question he should answer: 𝟏) 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬? 𝟐) 𝐖𝐡𝐲, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐃𝐅 𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬? Last year, Abiy Ahmed himself acknowledged that the war his government waged in Tigray, whose overall death toll has been estimated at more than 250,000, was “very small” compared with the conflict he conducted in Wollega, a region of Oromia. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐏𝐎𝐖 💥 Ethiopians have long known that several senior generals in today's military were once POWs in #Eritrea, while few others were also captured by the TPLF in Tigray, including Abiy Ahmed's Chief of Staff, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula. Then comes 𝐋𝐭. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐞, who recently denied ever being a POW in Eritrea and challenged his captors to come forward with evidence. 🫣 Apparently, the evidence does not have to come from his former captors. 𝐌𝐚𝐣. 𝐆𝐞𝐧. 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐚, himself a former Eritrean POW currently serving as a senior government official in Abiy Ahmed's administration, has already publicly recounted the story behind how he got the nick name "Bacha" while in captivity and how he adopted it as his first name later. "Atinkut" Debele was his original name, allegedly. According to Abadula, “Atinkut” was sick for an extended period while in captivity. After recovering, he volunteered for a less menial task, such as preparing powdered milk for his fellow prisoners. He apparently added so much water that he ruined the mixture. A fellow POW then mocked him with, “አንበጨበጨከው (Anbechebechkew)”, essentially telling him he had watered it down beyond recognition. Since then, the prisoners started calling him with the nickname “Bacha” in short. And just like that, "Atinkut" became Bacha and he eventually adopted that nickname as his first name after being released from captivity in 1991. Today, the same Bacha Debele got a promotion to Lieutenant General rank and now serving as #Ethiopia's ambassador to #Kenya. So, General, why go looking for evidence from the Eritrean captors when one of the prisoners who was there has already told the story?

𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲’𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 ETHIOPIA — After all the grand stages, endless ceremonies, and the mountains of money spent on the Prosperity Party’s National Dialogue Commission, 𝗦𝗲𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 has one big question: "was all this really about solving Ethiopia’s problems, or was it just a carefully decorated pathway to crown Abiy Ahmed as a "𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴", because we did not ask for a king." "The participants in this dialogue should not allow Abiy Ahmed to make more mistakes," he warned, adding that failure to do so could push Ethiopia "𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘧." And the irony is almost too much to ignore. These are not the words of some random YouTuber or opposition activist. This is 𝗦𝗲𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, one of the loudest voices in Abiy Ahmed’s media army, a man who spent years defending the regime on almost every issue and was even rewarded with honorary membership in the Ethiopian Defense Force by the army chief. Now, even one of the regime’s most loyal cheerleaders appears to be running out of applause. Seyoum himself reminded people that the previous national dialogue under the TPLF-led EPRDF government produced the current constitution without today’s expensive theatrics, endless photo opportunities, and political fireworks. Nobody expected the man who once sounded like Abiy Ahmed’s unofficial spokesperson to suddenly put down the pom-poms and question the show. But when even the loudest cheerleader starts asking where the circus is heading, it might be time for the performers to pay attention.
