Dear friends, today is our ninth anniversary, we would have liked to celebrate with you and talk about beautiful things, but as you may have heard from the media, currently in Syria there are fierce clashes between rebels and the regime in several cities, Aleppo, our old and loved hometown just yesterday was the object of clashes but several people have contacted us saying that there is a shelter that has 600 partially disabled animals that have been left without any help, civilians are forbidden to move. we armed ourselves with meat and dry food and we are leaving to try to reach these animals. Will we succeed? We don't know! We will tell you this evening. Happy birthday Ernesto’s friends please celebrate our foundation because without you we would never have been able to exist, without your generosity we can do nothing, someone complained to us that they did not feel thanked enough, we are very sorry, life is becoming more and more difficult for more of us , and sometimes we think we are one family and we forget to say thank you, it is not because we are not grateful, on the contrary! thank you thank you thank you to all of you, one by one! A very sad ginger cat has arrived at the sanctuary clinic. He was found in the streets and brought to the sanctuary clinic. He has a broken lower jaw which has been sutured back into place by Dr Mohammed. We think he will heal well and we will keep you updated.

Attention hard images 🔞 We weren’t sure about posting because the images are hard, but every story deserves to be told,and is important to us to share our work with you . this dog was tied up in the garden when last week it was bombed nearby, out of fear he continued to pull on his rope until he hurt his neck a lot, his family called us to go and help him because they couldn't transport him, we brought him to our sanctuary’s room emergency and he underwent surgery which brought an excellent result.

In these recent days we have been wondering about our future, we made some appeal for help with no responso, so we feel that people have lost interest in our mission , and unfortunately with our reserves we are preparing to close everything in January more or less , and for two days we have been evaluating the idea of saying that this mission no longer makes sense to exist because we don't feel supported, as if the war ended has given us life resources, but it is not like that, we have only stopped dying from bombs, but the hundreds of mouths are still here asking for care, food, vaccines, etc. but today this Syrian / Spanish boy called us asking for help for a dog... and by helping him and the dog we realized how important our presence in Syria is, that this mission cannot stop now, we hope that in many of you this mission has this effect of wanting to go forward and believe in it as it did in us. We need to reach our goal for November if you can help us 🙏

We immediately set out from Idlib and located him, We performed an initial examination on-site, and transported him to our clinic for further assessment and treatment. He is in a critical condition, and we will update you. For now he is comfortable and under pain relief.

Today we returned to Aleppo and opened a free mobile vet clinic for the animals of Aleppo and distributed some dry food. A lot of animals are suffering from long term injuries, for which they had no possibility of veterinary treatment. Some patients came with diarrhea, some with disabilities and some with various types of diseases. We cared for all of them for free. Aleppo ‘s people are famous in Syria because they love cats and they are cats owners of many different breeds of cats. It's normal to see very fancy cats in many homes. We want to send thanks to WTG Welttierschutzgesellschaft e.V for their support of the Free Clinic and vet team in Idlib.
