I stood on Skid Row in Los Angeles, and what I learned stopped me in my tracks. The City of LA, under Karen Bass , opened what’s called the Skid Row Community Refreshed Spot , a location where people experiencing homelessness can shower, use the bathroom, and wash their clothes. Let me be very clear: This is not housing. This is not protection. This is not a solution. While filming there, I spoke directly with a man who works every single day at the service site. Without hesitation, he told me that there are at least 20 minor children currently living on Skid Row. Children. In America. On Skid Row. That information shook me to my core. Instead of removing children from one of the most dangerous areas in the country, we’ve created a system that manages homelessness instead of ending it. We’ve built places to bathe, but not places to sleep safely. We’ve normalized survival instead of restoring dignity. This is about children living on the concrete streets of America, while billions of dollars move through government budgets with no urgency to save them. Next week, I’ll be releasing an exclusive conversation with Lara Logan that dives deeper into the reality of children living on Skid Row, a story America can no longer afford to ignore. Stay tuned. It takes a special kind of courage to be a Black, well-known public figure in America and openly say, “I support President Trump.” Nicki Minaj Not because it’s trendy. Not because it’s safe. But because it’s honest. In today’s political climate, disagreement isn’t debated, it’s punished. People are digitally persecuted, socially exiled, blacklisted, smeared, and “assassinated” in the court of public opinion simply for thinking differently. For Black celebrities, the cost is even higher. You’re expected to vote a certain way. Speak a certain way. Believe a certain way. Or face character destruction. That’s not freedom. That’s coercion. So when someone stands up anyway, knowing the backlash, the threats, the cancellations — that’s not sellout behavior. That’s backbone. That’s conviction. That’s exercising the very civil rights so many fought and died for. Real courage isn’t agreeing with the crowd. Real courage is standing alone and telling the truth anyway. This moment didn’t happen in a vacuum. It wouldn’t be possible without being rescued by Alveda C. King, Ph.D. when I came home from prison, pardoned by President Donald J. Trump after I reformed my life, and positioned by Robert F. Kennedy Jr to do meaningful work. On December 16, 2025 I was deeply honored to be recognized by the honorable General Mike Flynn Lara Logan and America's Future USA not for politics, not for labels, but for the life-saving work we do at Auntie Angie’s House. When we set aside race and party lines, we realize this is about getting the work done, protecting life, and making a real difference.

Honest moment, correct me if I’m wrong. I didn’t start paying attention to politics until Obama, but ever since I have, I’ve noticed a pattern: I’ve never seen a single elected Democrat show up for like this for Black men and women who are unjustly incarcerated. They only seem to show up when a Black man is already dead at the hands of police or when it’s time to push abortion on Black women. Case in point: Tory Lanez. He was nearly killed stabbed 14 times by an MS-13 gang member, both lungs collapsed and yet not one Black Democrat has spoken up for him. Ask yourself: Who are they really fighting for? Because it’s clearly not us. Time to vote them out and bring in the real ones. 🥷⚔️🇺🇸

I just left Skid Row in Los Angeles with Tish Hyman I need Gavin Newsom and America to understand this: There are CHILDREN living on the streets of the United States. Not rumors. Not statistics. Children. I saw them. I documented it. This is what a third-world humanitarian crisis looks like right here, on American soil. While billions of dollars are sent overseas… While funding is shuffled here and there… While cities receive hundreds of millions to address homelessness… Karen Bass was given roughly $250 million for her Inside Safe program program intended to move people off the streets. Yet tonight, a young mother and her baby are sleeping on the sidewalk. Children are sleeping outside. No bed. No safety. No stability. No running water. No bathrooms. No education. I met a young mother and her daughter who were placed in a shelter and then kicked out after 30 days. Now they are living on the street. They cannot get assistance. They cannot get housing. This isn’t about race. It isn’t about religion. It isn’t about immigration status. It’s about humanity. How do you fund programs meant to end homelessness while children remain on concrete? This is not political. This is not left or right. This is a humanitarian emergency. No child — NONE — should be raised on a sidewalk in America. Something has to be done. Now. This is only Part 1. There is much more to come. More documentation. More stories. More accountability. Stay tuned.
