I just beat Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. I expected to like the game, but... I ended up loving it. Every level features dozens of brilliant combinations of gimmicks and level design tricks, and obviously beautiful visuals. I also love Yoshi's expanded moveset:

I had no idea you can encounter the player ghosts of the ongoing race when joining an online Mario Kart World lobby.

One of my favourite aspects of designing custom Super Mario Bros. Wonder levels is designing puzzle bonus rooms that take advantage of obscure mechanics and interactions.

If you've been wondering why it feels like most of the sections of Mario Kart World's Rainbow Road appear out of nowhere, that's because they do.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, when the player walks directly under a light beam wearing the Invisibility Badge, they temporarily become visible. This obscure mechanic is basically unused in the original game, but my latest custom level revolves around it.

My latest Super Mario Bros. Wonder level revolves around a custom "mirage" gimmick, where fake purple platforms temporarily disappear to reveal the location of the real blue platforms.

I totally get why it's not everyone's favourite thing, but I'm really enjoying Mario Kart World's free roam mode. Some of the P Switch missions feel like what people would do with a "Mario Kart Maker".

My first custom Mario Wonder "Search Party" level pushes the game's playable background area feature to its limit by stacking several layers on top of each other.

The wonder effect of my latest custom Super Mario Bros. Wonder level uses multiple "Rift Mario" clones at the same time, which the original game fully supports, but never took advantage of for some reason.
