Paul Murphy discovering free speech because DCC won’t let him put up offensive posters about Donald Trump is absolutely hilarious. Isn’t this the same fella forever lecturing everyone about offensive language, imagery and symbols? Hasn’t he done as far as pushing the idea that the Irish flag is offensive? Now apparently causing offence is a sacred democratic right. And calling for “large numbers” to gather and tell a foreigner he isn’t welcome in Ireland? Jaysus Paul, that sounds awfully far-right. Or dare I say, racist? I remember Let Women Speak Dublin clear as day. Women, including survivors of domestic and State abuse, were being screamed at and called “Nazis” from across the barriers because they had opinions Murphy and his Lenin loving loons despised. I actually agree that offensive political speech should be protected. Protest Trump all you want. Scream and shout loud enough to wake Stalin himself. I’d just love Paul and his mates to discover this passionate commitment to free speech when it’s somebody they disagree with. But I suppose the principles only change when the shoe is on the other foot.

I truly believe in everyone’s right to self expression. That right ends at furries and pup play weirdos. You want to be a dog? Fine, be a dog. But you have to commit to it. Feeling sick? Vet. Caught wandering the streets without an owner? Straight to the pound. You have 30 days, start looking adoptable. Need the toilet? There’s a lamppost. Shower? Sure you don’t do that anyway, next. Hungry? Brilliant. I hope you like the mysterious brown cylinder that slides out of a tin. Want to get on a bus? Absolutely not. Where’s your cage? I genuinely think this is the cure. Stop arguing with them and start enabling them. Give them the full immersive experience and watch how quickly being a dog loses its aesthetic appeal. And before I get “but they’re not hurting anyone” Yes they are. They’re hurting my eyes. They’re hurting my will to live. And most importantly, they’re bastardising one of God’s finest creations. And I haven’t even gotten into the kink element. Sexualising dogs? Freaks. My dog didn’t spend thousands of years evolving alongside mankind just for some middle age jobless bum called Moss to start barking in Penneys. Sick and twisted.

In 2023, Flynn pushed Hate Speech laws to combat the idea that language can strip people of dignity. Now she says the Irish tricolour at protests “terrifies” her, turning ordinary people into something to be feared. Calling working class people “far right” does exactly that.
