AC Ben dahlias seem to change colour throughout the day. Warm sunshine brings out the golden yellow, while softer light emphasizes its peach and apricot tones. Meanwhile Kelvin Floodlight continues to illuminate the garden. 🌼🌅🌼

Café au Lait dahlias can bloom in shades of cream, ivory, blush, peach and dusty rose—all from the same tuber. Cooler temperatures often deepen the pink tones, while warmer weather tends to produce softer creams. ☕️🌸🧚

Black dahlias don’t truly exist—but Arabian Night comes impressively close. 🖤 What looks black from a distance is actually an incredibly deep red packed with anthocyanin pigments. Catch the bloom in morning or evening light and you’ll see the hidden ruby tones come alive.

Hens prefer laying where other hens have already laid eggs. Seeing eggs in a nest signals that it’s a safe, successful place to lay - in spite of multiple nesting box options. 🐔🌅🥚

A single eggshell is made up of roughly 95% calcium carbonate. 🥚 That’s why oyster shells are a staple in many chicken coops. 🦪 Crushed oyster shells provide the extra calcium needed to keep eggshells strong. 💪

What started as a quick rinse to test a pressure washer turned into a garden cleaning onslaught.👩‍🌾 The 100’ hose meant I could reach all the problem areas without dragging equipment around and the auto-retract system made cleanup almost as satisfying as the washing itself.
