For all those clowns in my mentions telling me that nobody cares about the WNBA and that the game is only on Peacock. 1. The game is on USA. 2. The building is sold out at 12:30 PM ET on a Thursday on short notice. Stop letting your hatred blind you from the fact that the WNBA is growing in a very real and positive way. I'm watching the Valkyries and Dream.

So Stephen A Smith spent 2 minutes mocking mental health yesterday on First Take. He spent about double that time apologizing for it today. And I do believe his apology was heartfelt and sincere. But it doesn't undo the damage those words can cause. It merely acknowledges it. There have been too many of these types of incidents involving Stephen A Smith. ESPN has put all of its eggs in the basket of a guy that continually puts his foot in his mouth and another that has continually thumbed his nose at all professional norms meant to maintain credibility at a place once known as the "Worldwide Leader". I'll have more to say about this today on SportsWrap.

I get that Caitlin Clark is rightfully sensitive to physicality these days, but this is a normal hard basketball play. To yell for this to be reviewed is not going to help her case any when it comes to the officiating.

This is what cracks me up about Sophie Cunningham. Until she spoke out of the trans issue in sports, nobody cared who she was. Now, she's built her entire platform around that issue and is surprised when that brings backlash. She's a role player. That is disposable. Plenty of examples available. And it isn't uncommon in sports. But the argument that people are just trying to be relevant or are thirsty strikes as projection. Because until she commented on the trans issue, she was irrelevant outside of Indiana Fever circles.

Good grief… I’ve done plenty of roundtables on news networks. Is there a more unlikeable, smarmy troll than Scott Jennings? Could be the least likable “pundit”(and I use that term loosely) in all of cable news. Latest example. Look at the facial expressions. Zero respect.

The scary part is that Stephen A Smith strong suit is supposed to be basketball. It’s just embarrassing. This is the guy you give all this money to and he doesn’t even know the basic facts about a team. ESPN can sit here all day and tell me his ratings. People are “hate watching”. Or even worse, they are watching to mock how bad it is. It’s akin to the later years of Mike Francesa at WFAN. Where people watched to hear the crank calls or to watch him falling asleep at the mic. It’s getting to that level of bad for ESPN when it comes to SAS. I don’t know anybody that watches him because they think they are getting anything substantive out of him. And that isn’t sustainable. I say it all the time. People don’t know what they like, they like what they know. Not. One. Person.
