There’s something perfect about Batman Begins opening with Bruce literally falling into darkness. The entire film becomes about how he learns to enter that darkness willingly and control the fear that once controlled him.

I get emotional every time I rewatch this scene in The Dark Knight Rises. Michael Caine’s acting is incredible.

Two-Face revealing the burned half of his face in The Dark Knight was nightmare fuel as a kid. Nolan somehow put one of the most disturbing character designs in a Batman movie without turning it into outright horror.

The funeral scene in The Batman is pure tension. Bruce notices the missing district attorney, a car suddenly crashes through the church, and Colson steps out with a bomb strapped around his neck.
