This is why it’s going to take a VERY long time for our USMNT to get to be at the level of the world’s best. I mean look at the footwork from Romero of Argentina in a semifinal match for the World Cup. Under this pressure, a CENTRAL DEFENDER pulls off this dribble to get himself out of trouble …pulling it out of his own ass. It will be a long time before we pull off creating a defender of this caliber able to do this with all the weight on their shoulders as they try and play it out of the back.

I like what I see from McGlynn. He’s a stud. Technically really strong, and can release a shot with great accuracy and speed. If he’s played in the center of the park and NOT on the wings, his strengths are elevated and weaknesses hidden. Needs to leave MLS ASAP.
