As someone who’s watched most of the acapella performances of these two… BSB = muddy, pitchy, their harmonies are often just leads “sing together” NSYNC = distinct 5 part harmony (listen to Bass, baritone and countertenor), just more contrapuntal richness, i.e, Take 6
