A well-known ruSSian asshole tested a captured Ukrainian Marder-1A3 IFV for its armor protection. During the test, he fired 23 mm HEI (OFZ/ОФЗ) and API (BZT/БЗТ) rounds from a ZU-23-2. To his surprise, the API round failed to penetrate the upper side section, where an additional armor panel is installed. The lower section, protected only by the base armor, was penetrated.
