This is from an interaction I had yesterday morning after the Frenchies "board meeting" My video isn't aimed at large breed dog owners. It's aimed at every dog owner, from a pomeranian to a great dane who chose to let their dogs run over to all and sundry. It's all too common seeing situations like this, and all too often, dogs are injured in situations that could so easily have been avoided with the use of a long line. Attitudes and excuses like this really don't wash. It's an offence to have a dog dangerously out of control. This situation wasn't in that category, primarily because I wasn't scared of the dog, and my frenchies are used to large breed dogs, but another person, another set of dogs and the outcome could have been very different. No recall, and being off leash can be a dangerous combination. "My dogs friendly" won't prevent you potentially ending up in court or with a hefty vet bill when it goes up to the wrong dog. It's not an attempt to shame anyone, and I thought long and hard about posting it, but I feel it shows the issue far better than I can put in words. In the near 6 minute conversation, she was adamant that her actions were not an issue. I left my contact details with her if she wanted to seek help down the line.

Also, my next quandary is whether or not I re-home this lad 🤷 Heart says, Yes. Head says, you wanted a lab and a bitch to help with reactivity cases. I've met him a few times, working with the owners, but they've decided he doesn't get enough with them. It frustrates me as I see this happening time and time again with high energy dogs like the Mali, but they're a very young couple and have invested in him up until this decision. Honestly, I don't know which way to go with this one.
