The “Peter Thiel is fleeing America” story is so unserious. Fleeing what? His protégé is vice president, his companies feed on government contracts, and his politics are already sitting in the room. This is not a man running from the state; this is a man shopping for the next state to optimize. Call it what it is: post-democracy expansion.

![Quick update on the parallel [dot]gov website investigation: I want to say this professionally… but what in the federal Russian nesting doll is going on here?? I wish I could tell you this got clearer the more I dug, but every thread I pull leads to five new websites, a new acronym, and a weird string of code I now have beef with. It’s also led me to make some phone calls to different federal agencies to see how much the government actually knows about what’s happening at the executive-branch level and, well… my face in this outtake kind of says it all. So that’s why I haven’t posted the investigation yet this week. I’m taking a little extra time with this one to make sure I’m connecting the dots responsibly, being as thorough as possible, and turning a very dense, and honestly pretty alarming, set of findings into something clear enough for people to actually follow. I appreciate your patience (because Lord knows mine left the building about three phone calls ago). I’m also planning my first live next week as a companion piece to this investigation. A casual deeper dive on the deep dive, talking through some of the evidence that didn’t make it in the video. Baron thinks Ian Carroll and I would only make it to the earth’s core. Respectfully, I think we could dig all the way to China, come back with the GPUs, a few rare earth minerals, and a Taiwan Strait de-escalation plan so reasonable it gets accidentally leaked and adopted as policy before the livestream ends. And that’s if we play it safe.

The only thing growing faster than the federal deficit is the tunnel network under the White House. The East Wing was demolished after a moisture study came back bad. Now, Shalom Baranes (the same architect through the same GSA branch), just filed a moisture study for the Blair House. Same architect. Same office. Same word. I’ve seen this playbook before.

If you have not had the profound misfortune of visiting TrumpRx, it is a federal drug pricing website that looks like Wix and a Pinterest board threw up on each other. There’s a gold 3D eagle, there are pills floating across the screen, with the tagline “TrumpRx the price,” which is unfortunately not satire. It has the typography of a Brooklyn juice bar and the self-regard of a man who has never been told no. It is, in every conceivable aesthetic sense, a catastrophe. But that’s almost the point. Because while you’re busy looking at the website, the website is busy watching you.

“When they go low, we go high.” Okay, but now they go low-low. Like six-stories-under-the-White-House, building-a-fortified-data-facility low; while somehow still finding the audacity to tell the rest of us to calm down and pay for our own surveillance apparatus. It’s like Teddy Roosevelt always said: “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Congress, baby, subpoena power is the stick. Oversight is the stick. Use it.
