Kevin Willard admits he isn't recruiting any high school players this year 👀 "We're not recruiting a high school kid this year... just because of the fifth-year rule. We have six guys that can come back for a fifth year. So, I'd much rather have one of my players come back, than bring in a high school kid" (🎥: BIG EAST Conference)

"I'm gonna say this, and I probably shouldn't: 9 of my players make more than my assistants. And the other 3 make more than all my staff. And we are NOT one of the highest payers..." John Calipari unfiltered on the state of college sports 😳 (via Pig Trail Nation)

Will Wade on his controversial roster-building 👀 "I'm not hiding from this. What we're doing is unconventional, I understand that. But 20 years ago, Airbnb was unconventional. 15 years ago, you rode in a taxi everywhere... Just because it's unconventional doesn't mean it's not gonna work"

John Calipari says Arkansas made 300 calls to try and get a big non-conference game at Bud Walton Arena 😳 "We did everything we could... No one would play us. I mean, listen: we called 300 people... We were calling presidents, 'Will you play us here?'"

Rick Pitino on the fifth-year eligibility chaos 👀 "Look, we're all in the NCAA. When you talk about NCAA, that's us... All they had to do is tell us what they're gonna do in November, and none of this would've happened. But they did it early on. Why, I don't know. I think it was a calculated mistake on their part. But we're part of the NCAA, so we've gotta live with it"

Ed Cooley asked if the 'mystique' of Georgetown basketball is gone 👀 "Absolutely not. That mystique is still there. Yeah, we've had some turbulent waters. We haven't had the success that we want. But the mystique will never go away. You can't erase history." (🎥: BIG EAST Conference)

Luke Loucks unfiltered on fifth-year eligibility 👀 “Just look around the country. The inconsistencies of what’s going on is wild to me. You’re putting schools that get denied these cases that get approved elsewhere at a complete competitive disadvantage. We’re gonna go against teams that have multiple fifth year guys approved. Louisville is one of them. And I don’t dislike that for Louisville, that’s great for them. But this isn’t that hard. Either all of them are ineligible or they’re all eligible. Even the playing field.”

Jon Scheyer was heated postgame: "It's hard to talk about the game when I was most concerned for the safety of our players. I don't wanna make it about that, but... I got staff members that got punched in the face... That's not what this game is about. That was a scary ending."
