State-sponsored militia attacked two journalists and stole a laptop and phones during a press conference by Kenyan mothers condemning arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings during protests. This CCTV footage clearly shows the individuals who took the items. We urge you to help identify their names. The DCI KENYA must act on this evidence, arrest and arraign the perpetrators, and ensure the immediate return of the stolen devices.

The court has released human rights defenders Francis Mutunge, John Mulingwa, and Mark Amiani on a cash bail of Sh200,000 each. Their arrest by DCI officers on June 26 was an unlawful attempt to silence their right to protest and call for change. But guess what? We’re more ready than ever for #SabaSaba.

On May 9, 2018, Patel Dam in Solai, Nakuru, overflowed, resulting in displacement, destruction of property, and deaths. In June 2018, the dam’s owner, Mansukul Patel, along with eight others, faced charges of 48 counts of manslaughter and negligence, with the KHRC representing 29 victims. An out-of-court settlement was reached in November 2023. The families of the 47 adult victims received Sh1.2 million each, while those of the minors were awarded Sh800,000. However, the civil case has been ongoing, as the suit seeks damages for property loss. May 9, 2025, will mark the seventh anniversary of the tragedy, and victims are demanding that the court expedite the civil case.
