She's ignoring her own behavior of aligning with the Republicans, which they're weaponizing against the Democrats, and projecting it onto hasanabi. She also repeated the rumor that Abdul El-Sayed told him to "tamp down", something Hasan himself confirmed is a lie. Neera: You and I probably disagree on Hasan Piker. I think the things he has said are both morally wrong and strategically terrible. They are morally wrong because I think it's terrible to attack anyone the way he does, but also his attacks would be weaponized by the right. Which is what I said last spring. .hasanabi details how Jonathan Chait invited himself onto a podcast he was supposed to do with the Atlantic when it was originally supposed to be with someone else, but when Hasan couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts, he offered him an invitation to have a live conversation instead, but Jonathan turned it down: I get invited to do the Atlantic podcast, I'm like sure yeah I'll do it and of course my schedule is slammed, so I can't do it. It's ironic because I think Jonathan Chait snuck into the podcast because it was supposed to be with someone else initially and he came on. So we communicated to the Atlantic team that we have an open schedule for Jonathan to come on any time he's available and they straight up said, "No, we're going to pass." I'm fine with doing it, but why am I supposed to give you editorial control when it's far more honest to have this discussion out in public? I find that very odd. I find that somewhat indecent.
