#UPDATE KASOL FIRING INCIDENT— Kullu SP Madan Lal Kaushal says, "In Kasol's Manikaran police station area, a fight broke out yesterday between locals and some people from Amritsar. A local named Yuvraj was shot in the leg. Acting swiftly, the police immediately arrested four of them. The weapon used was also confiscated. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused did not possess a valid license for the weapon used. The injured was immediately referred to the AIIMS Bilaspur. He is currently stable. There were two vehicles and have been seized. Police have taken them into custody, and the search is on for another accused. The police have registered a case under various sections of the BSF and Arms Act and have initiated further investigation from every angle. An SIT has been formed under the supervision of DSP Headquarters.”

Arshad Narikkottu Mecheri (age approx. 20) from Kerala had gone solo trekking towards Beas Kund and got stranded in snow. His shoes were lost/soaked, leaving him unable to move. On receiving the call via 112, SI Raj Kumar, deployed near Atal Tunnel, rushed with a police team towards the location. The individual was found 2–3 km above Dhundi Bridge, stuck in deep snow and unable to walk. Showing exceptional courage and prompt response, SI Raj Kumar and his team carried him on their back to safety. 👏 Kudos to the Himachal Pradesh Police for their bravery and swift action. ⚠️Visitors are strongly advised not to take unnecessary risks in such extreme conditions.
