They also seized a Scorpio vehicle, which was allegedly used to transport the meat as part of the dowry. According to the police, they received credible information that illegal beef would be served at the feast. A team immediately reached the resort, where the accused were present, and arrested them on the spot. Charges have been filed against the accused under sections related to cow slaughter, transportation of beef, illegal sale or serving of meat in a public place, and hurting religious sentiments. The police have also named the banquet hall operator, Anees, in the case.
