No discourse needed. Zack Snyder already explained it. The SnyderVerse IS NOT the same as the DCEU. Luckily we here at ZACK SNYDER'S SELL MOVEMENT already knew that, so our messaging has always been clear. When we say: #SellZSJLtoNetflix #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix MOST fans of Zack's work know that he and his team were on a much different path than where the DCEU ended up. •Man of Steel •Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition •The director's cut of Suicide Squad •Wonder Woman •Zack Snyder's Justice League •Future films & projects within this universe That's the SnyderVerse. Not the DCEU. Hope this helps. (Aquaman is really only discussed as "possibly being a part of the SnyderVerse" because that studio commissioned a bunch of articles saying that Zack gave his "blessings and approval" to James Wan's Aquaman movie, to sell us the fans on the movie before its release.)

AVOIDABLE controversies like this are what happens when you prioritize stupidity and childish antics over substance. You're never going to get anything of lasting value out of that co-head. But he told you all that years ago when those tweets gained notice and everything he did outside of a Disney marketing machine flopped or floundered with middling results. (Should've never been allowed to touch DC, Superman, etc.)

It's true. WB has a history of this that can be tracked. Whenever they've made DC a satire AGAINST itself, the global audience will eventually reject it. Superman 3 & 4 Batman & Robin Joss Whedon's Justice League (2017) 🆚 The Dark Knight Trilogy Man of Steel Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) The latter films had to come behind franchise "stallers" to reignite the success of DC movies. This DOES NOT mean "successful DC = DARK DC". Superman: The Movie (1978) was NOT dark, but it was definitely made as a film to be taken SERIOUSLY and was EPIC for its time period (it also had the luxury of being "first" and set a standard to evolve from). The global audience prefers the more serious and epic versions of DC (bots on X/Twitter may disagree, but they don't count 😆)*. People with agendas will lie, but the numbers don't. *(Grace Randolph also highlights another discussion to be had: "comic nerds" & media shills/bots 🆚 general/global audience. Something else the DC brand has a unique problem assessing.)
