"My life changed... 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫." In a 1996 friendly between Australia and Japan in Melbourne, Socceroo Warren Spink suffered a life-threatening, and ultimately a life-altering, head trauma. Knocked unconscious for nine minutes following a head clash with his opponent, Warren suffered a concussion that left him with short and long-term side effects.
